Aloo Gosht (potato meat curry) is one of the most common Pakistani home made dish cooked at least once in a week in many homes. Aloo Gosht is is an authentic Pakistani recipe. Learn how to make Aloo Gosht by following this easy recipe its good to serve to anybody.

1 cup oil

2 large onion, chopped finely

1 cinnamon stick

5-6 black pepper corn

45- cloves

1 tsp ginger and garlic paste

2 small tomatoes chopped

1 kg lamb

7-8 large potatoes,

1 tsp salt, or to taste

1 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp red chili powder

1/2 tsp turmeric

1/2 garam masala

fresh coriander, for garnish


1Add some oil in the pan, then add the cloves, black pepper corn, ciniman stick

2then add the onions and fry for some time until the onion turns golden brown then add the ginger and garlic paste. then

3Add in the turmeric, red chili, coriander powder,cumin powder, and salt then mix them all well.

4 Then add the meat and mix for 2 to 3 minutes, then add 5-6 cups water cook untill lamb is half cooked, cover the pan with the lid until the lamb turns tender, when the mutton is half cooked add the tomatoes, and mix them well.

5When the tomatoes disappear add potatoes and mix and cover the lid and reduce the flame

6and wait for 15 minutes. Check whether the potatoes are cooked well,

7then add a teaspoon of garam masala and fresh coriander and mix them and let it cook for 5min.

8that's it aaloo gosht is ready to serve. serve with rice or chapati
